The CORUSCANT seminar aims to bring together specialists, in order to discuss methods and findings crucial to the understanding of contemporary Russia. While our seminar maintains an academic focus, we seek to engage a wider audience beyond academia – students, journalists, activists, policymakers, etc. Likewise, we aim to invite speakers beyond academia.
The seminar is usually held at the Condorcet campus (Aubervilliers / Paris), in English or in French, and online.
The goal of the CORUSCANT research collective is to rethink research on Russia following the 2022 invasion of Ukraine. We set forward four interrelated objectives for doing so:
Decenter and refocus Russian studies
Develop a new toolbox, with a focus on digital methodologies
Develop the dialogue with policymakers
Create an international network
