Seminar: Jade McGlynn, "Body and soul: everyday life under Russian occupation", 26 September, 4:00-6:00

For the first session of the 2025-2026 CORUSCANT seminar, we will hear Dr Jade McGlynn, the head of the Ukraine and Russia programme at the Centre for National Security and Statecraft, King’s College London. She is also a non-resident fellow at ICDS in Tallinn, CSIS in Washington, and is writing a new book on Russia’s destruction of Ukrainian identity in the temporarily occupied territories. She is the author of Russia’s War (Polity, 2023) and Memory Makers: The Politics of the Past in Putin’s Russia (Bloomsbury Press, 2023).

Her intervention will be discussed by Julie Deschepper, Assistant Professor in Heritage and Museum Studies at the University of Utrecht.
